Non-Bio vs. Bio
Non-Bio — no enzymes. That makes it the gentler of the two, and it is the sheet we ship as standard: the one to reach for with baby clothes, bedding, towels and anything worn against sensitive or eczema-prone skin. It still lifts everyday dirt and odour on a normal cycle — it simply does it without enzyme activity.
Bio — the same base formula, with enzymes added. Enzymes are biological catalysts that break a stain apart rather than just washing over it: protease breaks down protein soils such as sweat, blood, grass and food, amylase tackles starches, and lipase works on oils and grease. That is what makes bio the stronger choice for gym kit, sports gear and work clothes, where the lingering smell is protein residue sitting in the fibres rather than dirt on the surface. Because the enzymes do the heavy lifting, it also performs well on a cooler, shorter cycle.
The trade-off is that enzyme activity is less suited to very sensitive skin, and to protein fibres like wool and silk — so non-bio remains the safer choice for delicates and for skin that reacts easily. Our bio sheet is launching soon; non-bio is what ships today.
Biodegradability — what we tested
The surfactants in our sheets reached 99.8% biodegradation at 7 days under GB/T 15818-2018, tested by the Guangdong Detection Center of Microbiology in December 2021.
That figure applies to the surfactants. It does not cover the polyvinyl alcohol that holds the sheet together, which was not part of that test and for which we hold no product-specific data. So we do not describe the sheet as fully or 100% biodegradable — the testing we hold does not support a claim about the whole sheet.
If another brand makes the bigger claim, it is worth asking which test sits behind it.

Ingredients
The complete formulation by weight, from our supplier's safety data sheet. Five ingredients, nothing hidden.
- Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate — 58%. The main surfactant, and what lifts dirt and stains out of fabric. Better known as SLS, and a recognised irritant at concentration — in a wash it is diluted across a full drum of water.
- Fatty Alcohol Polyglycol Ether — 17%. A surfactant that dissolves grease and oils.
- Polyvinyl Alcohol — 15%. A water-soluble synthetic polymer that holds the dry sheet together, then dissolves in the wash. Our biodegradation testing did not cover it.
- Water — 9%. Purified water used in production.
- Parfum — 1%. Sea Breeze scent. We do not currently make a fragrance-free version.

Environmentally friendly
Our packaging is kraft paper, with no plastic. The sheets themselves replace a heavy plastic jug that is mostly water, so a great deal less weight and volume moves around the country for the same number of washes.
On the formula: the surfactants tested at 99.8% biodegradation in 7 days (GB/T 15818-2018). That testing did not cover the polyvinyl alcohol in the sheet, so we do not claim the whole sheet is biodegradable. We would rather tell you exactly what was measured than round it up.
